Can be withdrawn from bank account if Aadhaar number is detected

The Supreme Court passed a major verdict on the basis and said that the constitutionality of the base remains intact with some changes. There are frequent news about misuse of Aadhaar card. After this, some one person asks this question whether he can withdraw money from a bank account knowing my base number? The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the government-based Aadhar card-maker, had recently answered such a few questions. UIDAI has clearly said that it can not be done.

In such a situation, let us know what the UIDAI has to say on the issues related to the bank account:

(1) Question: UIDAI has complete data with my biometrics, bank account, PAN, whether it can track my work.

Answer: This is absolutely wrong. There is only minimal information in the database of UIDAI. Which you give when naming or updating. Both eyebrows have scans, facial photos, mobile numbers, e-mail IDs.

Keep in mind, UIDAI does not have any information about your bank accounts, shares, mutual funds, financial, health records, family details, religion, caste etc. in the database.

There is only minimal information in the database of UIDAI. Which you give when naming or updating. Both eyebrows have scans, facial photos, mobile numbers, e-mail ids.

Section 32 (3) of the Aadhar Act 2016 prohibits UIDAI and other institutions from controlling, collecting, maintaining, or retaining any verification information. (Read also - Who is using your Aadhaar, Use this to sit at home and do so)

(2) Question: When I connect my bank account, share, mutual fund and mobile number to the base, does my information not meet UIDAI?

Answer: Not at all. When you connect your bank account, share, mutual fund and mobile number to the base, the UIDAI sends your name, your biometric, the base number for verification. No details of bank account are sent to UIDAI. UIDAI never deposits your bank, investment, insurance etc.

(3) Question: If someone knows my base number, can he hack the bank account and withdraw money?

Answer: Absolutely incorrect, as no one can withdraw money from the ATM machine even after having information about your ATM card number. Similarly, keeping track of your Aadhaar number, no one can hack your account, nor can withdraw money.

If someone does not tell anyone PIN, OTP (One Time Password) by your bank, your bank account is completely safe. Due to the basis no loss has been made to anyone.
