SOFTWARE<> the set of intruction of our computer is called OS software.
*A software packeage is o group of programms that solve specifice problem or perform a specific type of job.
TYPES OF SOFTWARE..
*There are basically 2 type of software
(1) system software.
(2) application software
(1) System software> system software is a set of one or more programme which controls the operation and/or extends the processing capabilities of a computer system. th system software at the programmes written are the programms as an interface between the application software and computer it self
(2) Application software> application software is the set of one or more programms which solves a specific problem or a specific task this software is depends on users choice . programms included in an application software package are called application programmers who prepare application software are called application programmers
Application software is the two type

2 user application package
OPERATING SYSTEM (O.S)
Operating system is an interface between the user and the computer without an operating system computer is nothing but a box of computer it can not do work by it self.
Operting system is a programme or group of programms which controls execution of programme.
operating system ensures that all parts orperipherals of the computer systems are properly functioning it controls all the functions being perform on the hard disk and takes complete comand of instructions given to the computer..
FUNCTIONS OF OPERATING SYSTEM>>
Operating system loads required programme in the computer memory and excutes it when needed, it controls the data on storage device like hard disk and floppy disk has so manages other hardware device.
the resources such as cpu time main memory secondary memory peripherals.
the data mangement functions up an operating system allocates the input and output of data there location storage and retrieval.
the job management function of an operating systems prepares shedules controls morniters the job submitted for exicution...

(ii)multi user operating system
(iii)multi tasking
(iv)multi programming
(v)time sharing
